This blog can be considered dead. I refuse to delete it - the Internet should have its own garbage collection and management. Also I may score a few more hits...and everyone on the webosphere likes hits.

you can visit the new improved and almost empty . It's sure to be a hit. Manilla Envelope style!

RT - Installation Notes Part 2

Ok so hopefully you have got to the point where you can go to http://your-rt-site.com and you would be able to login and out and play.

If you cannot, then you've definitely done something wrong. forgetting to set up the databases (rt-setup-database) is common...well at least for me....I mean I forgot it like twice already.

Also please remember to edit those configuration files. Editing the .procmail file shouldn't be too bad...you're just inserting your domain name where it tells you to.

Now the next step is to ... go here and go to number 11. Oh and read this as well

I'm tired.... come back later for PART 3

RT - Installation Notes Part 1

RT Looks to me like a great ticketing system. It's based on perl and there's a number of pre-requisites before you get it up and running. The following installation notes are for centOS 4.3 using the Apaches and the MySQLs.

yum is my friend. Yum can also be your friend :) . Now look here for PART 1 of setting up the RT system: RTWiki Just scroll down to the part where they talk about yum.

Come back here for part two :)
